The four-image comparison for Link was showing the four textures from the four artists, though I did provide left-to-right comparisons for Pikachu and Kirby; should have been more consistent on that.  I'll add a vanilla version of Link and Samus to the main post whenever I gain the ability to edit it; in the meantime, here's a comparison image of how Link normally looks in Brawl:
