When I play SSBB the screen goes black and the audio cuts out. I am using the recommended settings on the wiki. I am also getting very poor performance I used to be able to get 60FPS with 4 players and barely get 50 fps with 2 players

Maybe bad dump? Try to dump your game again. Also make sure, that your PC doesn't overheat (check temps with CoreTemp)

While I'm playing its my temps only go up to 40 Celsius, is this bad?
