Don't have the time for it (who knows, mby in a few years) but i'm willing to provide the resources (mainly PSD files) to anyone interested in continuing this. I'm glad CDAMJC took over SMG1 and released a SMG2 pack as well (coz i finished the SMG2 HUD icons over 3 years ago but never released them).

Thumbs Up
Wow, this looks really well done to me!  Certainly proves that HD retexturing can also be done for a mostly 2 dimensional, sprite based(?) game.  I especially like your idea of restoring the original Pixls as shown in the game's promotional art. Nice work!

While I do appreciate the HD textures and they do look good, it is completely unplayable for me. Too many stutters. Not sure if downsizing or converting to DDS would help. If I knew how to do either of those things I would try.

You can downsize and convert to DDS with this: https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-unofficial-custom-texture-tool-ps-v1-2
And yes, that would surely help.
Also, if not already, you might want to try Ishiiruka which is an unofficial Dolphin build that helps especially against stuttering: https://forums.dolphin-emu.org/Thread-unofficial-ishiiruka-dolphin-custom-version
And make sure you have texture cache accuracy set to FAST.

Bug
This could be a client-side bug that only I am experiencing (I am on a mobile ATM) but it seems to me as though the images in the spoiler tags do not show up at all.  It's exactly the same in your Super Mario Sunshine HD thread.

I got the same issue. I dunno why, though, because they used to work...
Just take it from me, though, razius' textures look amazing! Smile

Have you managed to either convert or run this texture pack without stutters? I haven't been able to do either although I can confirm the quality of the textures. Definitely top notch.

After it was brought to my attention, I went ahead and converted this amazing pack to the new texture format after a very rushed playthrough. There were a few textures (about 20) that eluded me so they did not get converted. Maybe someone who knows where they show up in-game can finish them off. Some of these elusive textures may even be dumped with a different accuracy as I did find a few that needed to be manually hunted down. I also fixed a few textures that had bad scales, removed duplicates that Dolphin found (.1 suffix), and fixed the chef in Flopside from having the wrong head texture. As a bonus I also converted the pack to DDS, and created downscaled versions of both using 4x scale for those who can't run the 8x scaled textures.
