This is gonna take a bit longer than expected to release (later this month or sometimes in February), i have to fix some stuff as well (repack it since the last version is missing some files, i need to retexture the blocks, fix one of 2 textures), not just convert it to the new format.

Happy New Year!
First of all, feel free to use ANY file from any of my projects (SMSS, SMG, SPM) to retexture any game, except for these 3 (which means no repacking and changing w/e u don't like).

About
 • Each texture is 8 times the original size (8 times wider and 8 times taller), which means everything will look crystal clear sharp even in 4K UHD (3840x2160) and above (this is where the stone grain will actually breathe some life into the textures).
 • You can also download a smaller pack that's merely 4 times wider and 4 times taller than the original textures, case you only use 3-6x IR. I recommend us the 8x pack at resolutions of 7x IR and above.
Changelog

Version 1.0 (January 1st, 2015)
 • i removed the old pixls (you won't find them in the VARIATIONS folder), that were a mere reproduction of the ingame textures (with washed out colors) and replaced them with an exact replica of the ones in the promotional artwork (yes, even some of the shapes are changed to match the ones in the artwork)

Version 1.1 (?Jan/Feb 2016)
 • project converted to the new format
 • added textures never released before
 • added a more cartoonish look to some of the textures
 • the blocks now resemble the original textures, i moved the stylized ones in a folder called variations

Configuration (for v1.0)
 • EFB copies : Texture
 • Texture Cache Accuracy: Fast

Download this 5MB archive if you wanna fix some of the following.

1. Croacus is retextured BUT files have the wrong name. I'm too lazy/busy to manually rename all 61 files. You'll find both the original and the retextured files in this archive, you just need to manually rename them.

2. Rugged Bleck: After getting his ass kicked, Bleck is all rugged with his clothes shredded and jewels in pieces. You just need to add some layers ontop of his already existing textures (dust on the clothes, cracks on his pin and monocle, etc).

3. Mister L: The only things i didint retexture are his head, his body and the composites (since they require the head and the body... duh). The head can be done by adding the mask over Luigi's head (yeah there's a PNG with the mask as well, to make things easier - and the eyes are also done) so if you'll draw his body then you can retexture him entirely.

4. Icons for Peach and Mario's Partners from the previous PM games It would be nice if someone would retexture the Peach Icon (when selecting her) and the PM1 & PM TTYD partners (they appear when viewing the cards - i made Watt thou since he was quite easy to do).

If someone wants to contribute to (or take over) the project, i have a few requests:
 • each file must be at least 8 time wider and taller and as close as possible to the original ones (you can add some grain that will give the texture some depth when played at 8x IR or above)
 • textures can be stylized with abstract patterns (circles and such... ) since they breathe some life into the game without ruining the experience
 • no amateurish stuff (i don't wanna be rude and i know i haven't done the best of jobs but if someone should take over, than his textures should be at least as good as mine.. and trust me there's lots of room for improvement, if you'll check Nelde's stuff you'll see his pack is like 20 times better than mine). This means no crappy upscalling for the sake of "staying close to the original" just textures done from scratch. If you have no idea what i'm talking about, look at the Paper Mario The Thousand Door project.

Enjoy!

Neat, those textures look great! A hi rez HUD makes such a big difference in games!
And it's good this pack (or at least the HUD part for now) was dumped with Texture Cache set to FAST.
Unfortunately, I don't have the time to help with this right now, but I'm sure there will be someone about to play the game anyway and thus could help with this.

Just released a first version.
 • Don't forget to set the Texture Cache Accuracy to Fast
 • HUD is fully functional but will get some tweaks in the final release (sometimes next week)
 • This pack is made for extremely high resolutions (not a mere 2x internal resolution) and even so, make sure you crank up the AA. Sacrifice internal resolution for AA since the AA will smooth up the edges of the files when downsized.
Enjoy!

Just curious, since texture accuracy is set to fast are you getting all the textures? I had thought that the only way to dump all textures is to dump with accuracy set to safe?

Either way, this looks stellar. Great work bud.

Been using these textures for my playthrough, and they look AMAZING. Really, awesomely done.

Only noticed one bug: A little vertical seam where Bleck's "legs" would be. Like a flickering white line. But it's super tiny, and aside from that everything is basically perfect.

This looks pretty dang amazing! By the way, are you planning to support the new texture format?

Thank you very much for your appreciation and "Let's a go":

1. Nope, i stopped supporting all of my projects (too much work and too busy IRL) wich means i won't update any of my stuff for the new format nor will i fix the bugged textures - i'm aware of all of the bugs in SMSS, SMG and SPM but had no time to fix them and since no one offered to help with way easier stuff i thought its pointless to list those bugs and ask for help anyway.

Actually i fixed some SMG1 particles (such as the glow from the big sun in the HUB or the Terrace) but idk if they're in the latest public release (there are some unreleased SMG1 stuff that i sent to CDAMJC so he should release them), added some SMG1 clouds...

2. If someone wants to convert any if my projects for the new format then i'll add those links (and mirrors) to the OP.
