Super Paper Mario Door Problems....

This doesn't happen all the time, but sometimes when I open one of those rainbow star doors which transitions you to a newer area, one half of the door disappears and prevents me from progressing. It just freezes me in place and forces me to reload my game. There is a picture below in case you need clarification...

If you have opened the graphics settings window at any point while the game is running, please don't. It will mess things up a bit.
