I play my dolphin games (only GC games so far) on a PS3 controller, and generally it works great. Really no problems with it so far. That was until I played SMS.

It still does work in SMS, but the thing is that I can't figure out a way to make it so I can still use the water gun backpack while running. None of the buttons seem to to have that "half press" thing that is required by the game in order to use the backpack and still be able to move, they all require me to fully press them or it doesn't detect them at all. I thought maybe if I mapped to R2 instead of R1 might help, but it still doesn't work unless I fully press it. I even tried mapping right trigger to up on the right joystick and it still made me fully tilt it in and even tried mapping it to when I tilt the controller and I still couldn't get it to let me run and spray.

Just wondering if anyone might know of a possible workaround for this, or if I am really just fucked until I get a different controller.

Set both analog and digital R and L to the same analog triggers. Threshold value below will determine from which point any further press of the analog trigger will be registered as digital input by the emulator.

Hell yeah it worked Big Grin Kind of feel dumb for not trying that before but in the end it works and that's all I care about. Thanks man =)

I tried this after I had a similar issue and it still doesn't work. I tried to play around with the threshold value and found when it got to 100 it worked but you could only now spray and walk at the same time. I also have tried this with other controllers as well, (different consoles)
