This looks amazing, however I am struggling getting it to load in. I have tried naming the folder GMS, GMSE01, I have tried putting the folders inside in individually, however everytime I load the game, it says 0.0 MB of custom textures has been loaded with no visual upgrade. Am I doing something wrong here?

Enable "Prefetch Custom Textures" as well. Then unpack the textures under User\Load\Textures\Super Mario Sunshine\Textures (usually this folder in in C:\Users\xxx\My Documents\ if you're not running it in portable mode. Then create a file called GMS.txt and put in User\Load\Textures\Super Mario Sunshine\ That should make the textures load. 05-27-2020, 12:01 AM

It is working! Thank you, turns out I was trying to put them into the load folder where the dolphin.exe is. 05-27-2020, 10:43 AM

In the original linked format, the textures are too big to cache into RAM even on the iPad 2020 Pro with 6GB system RAM. Regardless if these get posted to the GitHub page or not, I'm curious on how you converted the DDS to PNG format. Could you explain how you did it as I might want to do this to other games like Star Wars Rogue Leader where there is only a DDS pack. 07-21-2020, 07:33 AM
Hello.
I registered here because I seems to have an issue with this pack/emu/game. I run the game using latest version of Dolphin then I installed newtest version of the pack and it work s fine except I have weird graphic problems like having mirrored clones of characters when I look at them from distance and there is wieird blru thing at right and left side of screen when I move the camera. Here are screenshots of clone thing: https://imgur.com/a/K0sNTTb When it comes to blur I had problems of taking proper screenshots because it happens only sometimes and it's hard to show it in static pictures. But when I runned against the wall I managed to capture it on top right side of screen: https://imgur.com/a/xUSB2eP Notice how top right side of screen changes on each screenshot. Any ideas what cause this ? Thanks for any assistance. Jarek EDIT: Using 60FPS code fixed both issues. Sorry for trouble. 08-02-2020, 03:33 PM

I have the PNG images on Github so he didn't need to convert them from DDS to PNG. 08-02-2020, 03:35 PM

Nintendo released the trailer for Super Mario 3D All-Stars today! I'm excited that people will be able to play Super Mario Sunshine on Switch. Just from looking at the gameplay shown in the trailer it seems like Nintendo retextured the HUD but not much else. The HUD looks very similar to my v1 textures. I was hoping Nintendo would release a fully retextured HD version of Super Mario Sunshine for Switch but it seems the best way to play SMS will still be using Dolphin and my UHD textures pack. I suppose I'm happy about that to an extent, in the sense that my work on this hasn't been rendered obsolete. What I am most interested in, given this rerelease, is obtaining a high resolution image of the game's North American title. Right now I am using a scan of the title from the player's guide that was masked out and color corrected. It's okay but ofc not as good as having the og digital file which I hope will be used as a promotional asset or included in the game's files. The game will be released September 18th! |
