Hi all, for those of you using DolphinIOS i have managed to get these to load, even when prefetching the textures, which is needed to eliminate stuttering by loading the texture pack into RAM. In the original linked format, the textures are too big to cache into RAM even on the iPad 2020 Pro with 6GB system RAM.
I have one set of PNG files down at 70%, that will load onto the IPad Pro 2020 using 3.1GB RAM out of 6GB (limit it can load seems to be around 3.4GB before aborting), and a 50% resolution reduction running at about 1.7GB RAM, ideal for IPad Pro 2018 and iPhone 11 pro’s which i think have 4GB ram. Both resolutions are suitable for what the iPad Pro 2018/2020 can render this game at, which is 1440p at present, solid 30fps with 2x AA. Perhaps the OP wants to host them, otherwise i can give instructions on how i modified the texture pack to fit better prefetched into RAM whilst maintaining a decent quality for the resolution of iOS device displays / processing abilities. I did consider that but decided against it just because the bonk isn't the same without the stars. They don't bother me that much but people should definitely use that pack too if it bothers them. Thanks! Yes they are, this is a collaboration razius and I planned in 2016 but I got too busy with school and then work.
