He didn't link to any videos? I'll re-iterate that an HD cutscene mod is merely something being discussed and experimented with.

I read wrong, I saw that is was you who posted the link to the painting videos, that's what I was referring to. Seems he doesn't want them to get out there, to bad though, they looked really good!
Regarding cutscenes, that seems to be a harder nut to crack.

Would it be possible for the pack to inject the hi-res cutscenes from the 3DAS version, or is it more complicated than that?

Injection on the fly is not really possible. Dolphin does export FMV frames as textures so you could theoretically overwrite them with the Switch version, but that would be very bloated in size and kill prefetching for anyone that doesn't have 32GB of RAM. Adding them into the ISO could maybe work, but it seems unlikely that SMS would be able to render said FMV past its native resolution. At most we could get less compressed FMV

Yeah it'd be pretty impractical and not much of an improvement. I've dumped the switch version of the game and played the .gcm file with Dolphin and when a cutscene starts it's just audio and subtitles on screen, no cutscene video. I guess the Switch gamecube emulator just starts playing the .mp4 video file once a cutscene is triggered. Perhaps this feature could be emulated by Dolphin? The user would simply have to have the videos in the same folder as the game.

Yeah it seems like Nintendo doesn't even bother emulating the FMV for SMS. Would be a neat feature for Dolphin to add

Version 2.1.1 is available now! This update adds hd M graffiti warp textures by cheatfreak47, a fix for the widescreen falling stars, a font texture fix by Scall, and a new North American title texture by me that was upscaled from the title on the switch version. An alternate vector art style version of the title is also included with permission from twitter user @WhaddupNico

Download this update patch (67MB) and add it to v2 of the pack! Smile

Thanks for the update! 
I still have problems will falling stars when using 60 fps, I'm using this code.

You're talking about his widescreen patch right? That shouldn't cause any issues with the 60fps code. Are you sure you have cheats enabled in your config? Also, which 60fps code are you using?
