I think this is amazing i only explored for a little bit but the textures and the amount of work you have put into this is breath taking im so grateful i found your hires Texture pack I look forward to to what ever comes ahead but you have made my childhood dream game feel alive again and i thank you sir!. You can now download a separate MipMaps folder from here.

I messed up and i released a bad texture. That being said, you can download the fixed texture from here [color=#ff3333](you have to put this texture into the INGAME folder and replace the existing texture)[/color].
I'm gonna continue to upload new textures daily (as soon as i'm convinced it's their final version) so you can download them from here. Sorry about this, let me know if there are other broken/pixelated textures out there. Enjoy!
I'm blown away by the level of artistry apparent from using this pack and looking at these textures outside the game. Your pack, once a HUD, character, and text pack with only a few in-game textures that I criticized for ignoring the style of the original game, is now a masterpiece of custom texture packing! I particularly like all your new text and icon textures and I'm excited to see what your new FLUDD textures will look like, I remember you talking about wanting to change those too. One thing I also think you should change too is your log texture. I think my log texture would fit right in with your pack, I made it in Inkscape. You can use any of my textures in your pack and you don't even have to give me any credit for it if you don't want to. No hard feelings man.

It's an alpha release, highly un optimized (reason it's PNG only), and quite messed up. The final version will contain the reworked original HUD (when downscaled it looks just like the gamecube one, for the nostalgic ones) and few other variations, including the old HUD (case someone likes it). I'll release 3 packs in DDS format: the full size one (will also have a PNG release), an optimized one with max 4096px and a minimal one where everything is exactly 8x the original size (but only 4x for HUD).
For the current alpha i just copied the new textures that are already finished (i have quite a few others in progress) on top of my older pack (but i'll revisit some of my old textures, such as the log). For example i reworked the sand textures but i only matched the color for 2 of the sand textures so all the other sand textures are from the old pack, while 2 are new. This release is sort of a demo, so ppl can play around with it at 4k and im pretty sure those who can play it at 4k can prefetch the textures. The beta release (should be out in 3 weeks) won't contain older textures that deviate from the gamecube ones... Regarding the FLUDD icons, i reworked 2 of the icons last week and i had to migrate the OS on a new HDD (coz i added a new HDD) and because i worked on 3 different folders that werent on the OS HDD anyway (my bad but there's a reason for that: it was one for the new textures im creating from scratch, one where i reworked/updated old PSD/AI files and one where i reworked the old PNGs for which i no longer had the resources), i had to merge the folders and i fked up by replacing the new FLUDD icons PSD files with the old ones. I decided not to rework them AGAIN after losing them, i'd much rather retexture other stuff than those icons, despite the fact that i don't like how my current icons look like. Once i release the BETA i'll make a list of things that people can contribute, the Fludd Icons being a priority. I've been thinking about making this a community pack, once i release the final version (my final version should be ready in april and it'll miss quite a few textures from Noki Bay, Pianta Village and Sirena Beach). People could add the textures i never retextured and add their own variations, including a flat version (without the 3Dish look) of my current pack (i can provide the flat textures). 03-08-2017, 01:33 PM
One problem im having is in delfino plaza were the one shine is in the building and you need to pay the guy 1 coin to throw you into the window. ive noticed that the whole window is a soiled texture and in the normal game you can see out side them windows but with your new update the problem seems to have vanished so other then that ive had no problems and am highly enjoying this pack so much!

That sucks about the FLUDD textures. I actually recently did a lot of HUD work and fixed the letter textures (most of the text is still pretty bad though) and next on the list is FLUDD, but I'm really only gonna redo the black borders so they're a consistent size, feather the border edges, and make drop shadows. They're still gonna be the same kinda deformed but lovable upscales they were. Check out the rest of my new HUD though if you haven't already. I'd like to know what you think. 03-08-2017, 06:34 PM
