Super Mario Galaxy low fps

I'm using Dolphin 4.0 and I'm aware of the performance differences between the major updates. I'm fairly sure the FPS isn't much better on 3.5 and I'm wondering what I can do to increase my speed. I can run many games full speed such as SSBB and Mario Kart Wii. My specs are

Windows 7 64
AMD A8-3500 Overclocked to 2.6-2.9ghz, can go higher but this is where I like to keep it
AMD Radeon 6620
8GB RAM

I usually keep OpenMP texture Decoder and Cache Display Lists on, along with Fast Depth Calculation. My internal resolution is at Native for now and I keep Direct3D on mostly. Just wondering what I can change for this game, and, if I get somewhere with this, some other titles.

Mario Galaxy is a super demanding game. You may want to finish overclocking your CPU or get a better one (optimal: i5-4670K or i7-4770K).

Also, OpenMP (and I think also OpenCL) is broken. There´s no advantage with that.

Other thing you can do is select OGL and activate Vertex Streaming Hack. It gives a good boost in GeForce GPUs. (Forget this, the hack doesn´t work with AMD GPUs).

Are they always broken or do they work on older revisions? And also, do you know what version of Dolphin offers the best balance of speed and accuracy? I've been using 3.5 and I'm wondering if I should use a specific version.

Some people here have experienced small boosts with that game while running it under 4.0.

And OMP & OCL work in older builds (that AREN´T supported here) but in general, they almost have no effect on emulation (a micro FPS boost of 1 or 2 frames?).

Give it a shot with 4.0 and then post the results and settings used.

This depends on the game but if memory serves, the big CPU drains are using LLE, EFB to RAM and enabling XFB. So any games that require one (or more) of these are likely to give you slowdowns.
