Isn't SB4E01 for the NTSC version? I have the PAL game so I renamed the folder to SB4P01.

I hadn't enabled the option "load custom textures" in the Dolphin settings. This wasn't mentioned in the main post.

Unfortunately the game runs poorly, constantly dropping below 30 FPS.
I'm playing on 1920x1080 resolution, 8x AA, 16x AF. "Prefect custom textures" option is enabled, I have 16 GB of RAM. I tried turning anti-aliasing off and setting AF to 1x, but got no major performance boost. I don't think that this mod is even meant to be played on any resolution less than 1080p.

I don't understand how I can still have the same performance issues after removing the mod files. I didn't have any problems before installing the mod.

I have an OC'd 970 and 2500K @ 4.5GHz. I play this at 4K with 4xMSAA. No real drops to be conerned about here. Of course you need the very latest version of Ishiiruka and must use Async. The mod isn't really going to look all that great at less than 1080p or even 1080p. It is made for very high resolutions. If I were just playing in 1080p I would not use this mod. Peformance depends a lot on your GPU. DX11 in Ishiiruka and async is the only way to play with custom textures.

I've solved my performance issues, I had to enable DSP HLE emulation again. I had disabled the setting because it was suggested on the Dolphin wiki.

I can confirm that I was also seeing very white water exactly like you were showing in your screenshot and removal of this file fixed it. Definitely something to look into.

I haven't tried HLE yet, but I thought LLE was more accurate and recommended for most games?

There seems to be another texture that makes trouble... you can see it looking up into the tree top when in "Tall Trunk Galaxy"... it's all white there... I wouldn't know how to find the 'faulty' texture, though.

Not sure this is gonna help anyone but...
The faulty texture(S???) most def came from the particles in the SMG1 game and it's all my fault. Worked with like 2 diffferet Dolphin builds at the same time and i remember using one to test some new particles back in December 2014 (wanted to add some water particles before leaving the project) and somewhere along the way i might have placed a wrong one (prob not enough transparencyor something) in the files i sent to CDAMJC. I know there was also a messed up light particle (lens flare) in the SMG 1 sand level that i fixed BUT not sure i sent the fixed one to CDAMJC. Other than that, u can find it by trial and error... u just delete all the particles in the folder and add them one by one, testing them by loading a quick save. So when the wrong one appears, you know which one is it... Some can be fixed (the whiteness) by adding a black layer with like 4-5% opacity over it and saving it like that. Sorry i dont have the time to look into this.

Quality texture pack right here. The remade HUD icons really make it feel much more HD.
