super mario galaxy 2 game breaker

okay so i was just playing smg2 and i reached Yoshi's galaxy and hopped onto him ,whenever i point to anything and press b nothing happens ,yoshi just extends his tongue a little and that's it,the red pointer is always on screen but nothing happens

any help wuld b greatly appreciated

use the OpenGL video plugin i think.
