Sure, but this pack does work with master, doesn't it? It just crashed after you converted the files.

yeah, with stuttering, which is why I wanted them converted them to png.

Why? They will stutter more in PNG format. Or did you convert them to make them smaller?
Is there no tool which can resize DDS's directly?

Ignore this, It seems to have fixed itself over the course of a few new builds. Remember my builds are experimental.

Right now it's playing preloaded with dds stutter free.

At first i intended to retexture nothing more than the HUD and the main particles for SMSS/SMG1, but i ended up retexturing a few (but not nearly enough) other textures as well. It was a nice ride (and the only constant in all of my projects was my obsession with everything being AT LEAST 8 times the orignal size) but i no longer have the time to work on it so i'm extremely grateful someone is willing to take over the project.

I'm not trying to distance myself from the stuff i've worked on (in the end everyone can see my threads when checking my profile) and i'm still gonna lurk these forums, just not gonna retexture.

I told CDAMJC that this is no longer my project (even asked around about a way to transfer ownership of the thread) and that he shouldn't mention me in his thread because as long as the quality (and the whole at least 8x the original size) is there ... my legacy's intact. Main reasons why i'm so confident in the future of this pack are:
  • the quality is there in both the size and the style (keeping as close as possible to the original wii textures)
  • he's way more dedicated (and focused) than i am... trust me, the project's in better hands than it was with me
  • i'd rather have him take over the project rather than turn it into a community project
But my prefference aside, i totally dig the CC-By-SA pedigree format.

I wanted to release a HUD&particles version for SMG2 as my last project but since CDAMJC decided to take over SMG i thought it's best he should do that. I made the SMG2 exclusive icons almost 3 years ago and i sent them to CDAMJC so you should totally spam him to release a SMG2 pack ... in PNG Tongue .

Your HUD elements are some of the best HD textures I've every seen. And since they are in this pack and always to be seen, your contribution won't be forgotten Smile

Shouldn't a lot of the SMG2 textures actually be the same as in SMG1? Of course, the naming will be different, but at least the textures wouldn't have to be done from scratch.
