I don't know if it's just me or if skids recent commits had any effect on sound, but I was able to do 4 galaxies and about 4 - 6 stars before music stopped looping. There is still something wrong with the AFC looping code, I wish the developers would finally look into it. The sooner this issue is solved, the less the developers have to read or hear about it.

Xtreme2damax, have you tried testing if the memory exceptions code has fixed the AFC looping? The "Enable MMU" option must be ticked for the memory exception code to take effect. It's a bit slow, I know, but it would be interesting for us all if you could test it.

Yeah I'll try in a bit here, I just enabled the "Enable self modifying code check" the first time. That was the longest I ever had the music last for. I almost thought it wouldn't stop looping, but got disappointed when it finally stopped looping.

Hey skid, that had no effect and the music still stopped looping. The issue is with the AFC looping hack itself, I hope that one of the DSP gurus can look into this soon and hopefully fix this issue.

Yeah, especially since SMG1&2 + ZTP are THE big titles on Wii & GC. (dunno, maybe even more are affected by this).
Hmm, I think I've seen Luigi tinkering on Desmume some time ago, also an awesome emulator, btw. I guess the big names in PCSX2 are totally into their project exclusively, eh?

If I had the money I'd hire all of them over to Dolphin

Problem is: Those guys are mostly not in it for the money

At least maybe I can contribute something myslf in a few years when I might have become a programmer. The question is, how much work will be left... I'd probably have to work on the emu for Nintendo's next home console instead.

Well, I DO hope this issue will be fixed until then
