There should be a nice Dolphinbar install guide (despite so many people say it's very easy to setup and get running...)

The first time I got Dolphinbar... it was by chance that I got my 2 Wiimotes working with it... and tested the System GUI Wii menu with it... I can play around with the hand pointers, etc. so that was fun. I can't remember how I got it working, but it was with Microsoft Windows 8.1 native bluetooth drivers.

After awhile, I stopped using it and now I got another 2 Wiimotes I wanted to play with DolphinBar again. I had to install Toshiba Bluetooth stack due to these new Wiimotes are motion+. I tried to sync dolphinbar (mode4) with my wiimotes... only one wiimote would show the LED1... all the others would eventually give up. I tried testing it in System GUI Wii menu (real wiimotes)... but no luck. No response.
I thought about disabling Toshiba Bluetooth... but that would turn off dolphinbar... so I turn toshiba bluetooth back on... and now dolphinbar won't turn on... I disconnect and reconnect dolphinbar USB... that would show some LED (mode4, etc)... but only for a few seconds then dead again...

Dolphinbar definitely needs a troubleshooting page (and the instruction manual isn't much help).

It seems that you are not using the dolphinbar. Update the dolphinbar via the instructions on the mayflash homepage, and then try again. It might help to uninstall/remove all bluetooth stuff, if you don't use bluetooth for anything else.

I thought Dolphinbar doesn't work with GlovePIE? Or can it?

Dolphin Bar at the moment works only with Dolphin. And there's no reason to install any bluetooth driver/stack, Dolphin Bar is completely PnP: switch to Mode 4, sync your wiimotes with the Dolphin Bar, open Dolphin, select Real Wiimotes and enable Continuous Scanning. DONE, boot your game and everything works...

To be precise, the DolphinBar in Mode 4 only works in Dolphin. Modes 1-2 emulate a mouse and keyboard and can be used anywhere, whereas mode 3 emulates a gamepad and can be used in any game or emulator.

thanks guys

I never knew about the other modes...I've been using MODE 4 all this time (with GlovePIE...) and nunchuck produces wrong values. (yes, maybe MODE4 is proper for Wii... but if we wanted to use Wiimote for GC... then MODE3 is better).

I also tried MODE 1 and was impressed with the multimedia/mouse pointer stuff... then I tried MODE3 and this is perfect for joystick-like emulator.

Yes, DolphinBar does make everything easier. It should've said, GlovePIE, Toshiba Bluetooth and PPJoy/vJoy not needed. So I uninstalled Toshiba Bluetooth, GlovePIE and PPJoy since I won't need them now.

With DolphinBar MODE3 I can easily map my controls to GameCube controller in Dolphin.

You should use MODE 4 because it's specifically made for Dolphin. Just follow Jhonn's instructions. You don't even have to map any controls.

Mode 4 of the bar is for use with Dolphin WHEN emulating Wii.
When emulating GameCube, mode 3 is perfectly OK.
