Sudden Sensor Bar Issues - 3.5-144 only

I woke up this morning and loaded one of my games to find that suddenly my sensor bar wasn't doing a very good job at recognizing my movement. Yesterday it all worked fine. I'm not sure what could have changed in this short time.

I have an older revision of Dolphin that I go to if games aren't working good in the newest. The version is 3.0-769-dirty, and it seems to be recognizing my sensor bar and motions very smoothly.

Why do you think this might be? Obviously nothing is wrong with my sensor bar because it works flawlessly in the previous version of Dolphin. Also, it's not like I've never been using it in the latest revision. I was having no issues until this morning when I popped in the batteries and booted up Dolphin.

So I was hoping one of you could give me an idea so I can get my Wiimote working good again in 3.5-144. Like I said, it's always worked fine, and I'm kind of hoping that it maybe just starts working again. Thanks for any help you can offer!

I never did an update. Just gotten onto Dolphin in the past week, only used it a little bit previously. The last build was the 3.0 build I mentioned, but I recently went to the site, downloaded the latest build and started everything over in a new Dolphin install folder. After a while of figuring things out, I finally got the Wiimote working flawlessly with it (3.5-144).

However, this morning it decided that it wanted to act funny. Worried that something was wrong with my sensor bar, I quickly went to the previous build to see if it did the same thing and, for some reason, it worked normal still in the old build of Dolphin. Peculiar, I thought.

It made me think there must be some sort of simple solution to this that I am not realizing, so I came here.

So I have two separate installs of Dolphin, never upgraded. The old works with Sensor, new one does not. Yesterday, 3.5-144 worked fine with it.

Edit: I think I should probably add that it's not entirely invisible. The pointer will occasionally appear and sometimes it acts really jittery and shakes around. I tried to set it on a flat surface to see if it would stabilize, but it did nothing. For some reason the jitters and shakes are absent when I test in the old version.

Edit2: Trying it out again, it seems a little more responsive. I set down the IR sensitivity and I'm thinking that helped a little bit. It appears, but it's still quite jittery, like there's interference. Does it ever get this way when the battery is low, perhaps? I'm not sure why it wouldn't be doing it in the previous build if it's a battery issue, though.

But it recognizes where I'm pointing but it bounces around like mad now. Just a little while ago, however, it was not quite as responsive in 3.5, so I don't know what's going on. I'll try to find some batteries and see if that helps. Any other suggestions?

Edit3: Replaced with fully charged batteries and no change. :/

To make this less confusing, I'm double posting rather than editing just to say that this issue resolved itself. Turning Dolphin on just a few moments ago it worked normally once again. I did nothing to change the settings or anything, just waited some hours and let it work itself out. Not sure what the reason was, just glad to have my sensor bar working again.

Thanks for the reply, ExtremeDude2. Smile
