I have been using Dolphin for a long time. I have an ASUS BT400 bluetooth adapter. I've been using last month's stable Beta build with no problems (and have been using my adapter since bluetooth passthrough was added to Dolphin). Suddenly yesterday I can now no longer user my bluetooth adapter for my WiiMotes. It just pops up a window that said "Critical" in the title bar with a white message box.

I tried updating to this month's stable Beta, and now I can see the error message which says "Could not find any usable USB adapter for bluetooth passthrough."

I have the same bluetooth adapter for my laptop, so I tried swapping them. This did not fix the problem, so the adapter itself is not the problem.

I tried completely uninstalling my adapter (including removing all drivers) and fully reinstalling it, and it still does not work.

I tried manually editing the dolphin.ini and removing all of the bluetooth info, and then re-adding the adapter in Dolphin, still no go.

I still have several older versions of Dolphin installed (I have not removed any as I update, I just install the new ones in their own folder in case of issues) and my adapter will not work in any of the older versions anymore now either.

I haven't added or removed any software on my computer in the past two days other than the new Dolphin after the problem appeared and the reinstall of the drivers after the problem appeared.

Any suggestions of what might be going on? I tried downloading the last stable install (5.0) for further troubleshooting but bluetooth passthrough had not been added to it yet.

I fixed the issue. I somehow lost the driver while troubleshooting an issue with my motherboard.

Dolphin will not recognize the ASUS BT400 if you use the driver supplied by ASUS.

When I originally installed the adapter in 2018, I had to download a driver for BCM20702A0 (the Broadcom chip used in the adapter).

BTW_6.5.1.6930_win7_vista_x64

It can be found with a google search. I believe it was originally for Dell laptops.

Once I fully cleaned out the ASUS driver from my system, it picked the BCM20702 driver back up, and my adapter is working with Dolphin again.
