While playing a GC game, I had a sudden drop from 100% to 15% with distorted sound. I tried to restart Dolphin, my Mac, etc. it went from taking 80% of my CPU to 120%. I have no idea what to do. I’ve never changed any settings there or recently on my Mac.

Does this happen at the same place in the game? Maybe it's just a more demanding scene (a 1.8ghz 7 year old (assuming hd4000 is ivy bridge era) laptop TDP cpu will struggle in many games, doubly so on a Mac with it's inefficient GPU drivers).

No it’s never happened before. It starts to lag at the title screen. I’ve played this game and others for a while now using this emulator and they all worked fine and now they’re unplayable. I did some digging and saw some reports of people leaving Dolphin idle for too long and this happening but I found nothing else on that. I’ve uninstalled and went back to other versions and it’s still the same thing |
