Does it have certain requirements for it to work properly? I mainly tried the Vulkan renderer + exclusive mode but I also went through other renderers and the hybrid mode for a bit (didn't test those too much). Mario Kart Wii would stutter every 20-30 seconds in pretty obvious ways. I was using bluetooth passthrough with an original wiimote. The issue could be unrelated to shaders I guess.

What CPU/GPU do you have?

Your profile isn't descriptive.

I doubt it's limited hardware since it's a 4790K at 4.6GHz with an R9 290. I believe it's probably very related to the particular game, Mario Kart Wii, because I start noticing that the issue is almost always reproduced whenever the player goes through the finishing line each round (it could be audio related).

What graphics backend?

on AMD ubershaders generally behaves fine in either mode. Exclusive shouldn't be stuttering either unless you're doing something above 1080p with SSAA on.

Do you have Per Pixel lighting turned on? Try turning that off. That gets a lot more expensive on ubershaders

I found the culprit. The game liked to run on an SSD instead of an HDD which is particularly odd since I didn't expect a game of that sort would need loading assets from drives mid-game and not only on loading screens but I guess I was wrong.

Make sure that the per-game setting "Speed Up Disk Transfer Rate" isn't enabled. The only times I've heard of HDDs not being fast enough is when someone turned that on.

It's 'undetermined'. It's generally odd since I don't expect either Dolphin or Nintendo to attempt to read game assets mid-race.

I found the same to be true. I don't suppose I have enabled "speed up to disk" in every game. Guess I will have to check again. But yeah, SSD won't give any stutters.

Enabling or disabling does not affect effect the stutter in any way
