Ah I see, yeah I should've considered that scenario, I'll fix that.
Stereoscopic 3D

Thanks. I also have a feature request: could you implement a hotkey to toggle Stereoscopic 3D on/off? Something like EFB Copies hotkey, toggling between the options (Side-by-Side, Top-and-Bottom, Anaglyph, Off)...

I was thinking of doing an on/off switch sometime but it seemed difficult to do without adding another setting since I would have to remember the previously selected mode. Cycling modes with a hotkey is a lot easier, but didn't seem all that useful since your monitor is likely only compatible with a single mode at a time. 12-30-2014, 12:52 PM
Further to what Jhonn said, I could be missing something but is there a way to change convergence and depth on fly while in a game?
The standard controls from nvidia when I'm using 3d Vision don't adjust them and I was curious if that's because of something I'm doing wrong. Great work by the way to everyone involved, I hadn't looked at S3D in a while but just fired it up and MKDD just blew me away in 3D @ 5760x1080!

Some things are misconverged. When you start the game, the fused shadow mask is misconverged against the background. Also the HUD is misconverged against the rest of the image. When you pause the game, the 3D models of the fused shadow and Link are misconverged against the background. In this picture notice how the wolf's tail is touching the left edge of the box on the left image, while the wolf is centered in the image on the right side. In this screenshot, notice how in the image on the right we get an effect like when you try to run the game using the widescreen hack and the game doesn't render some things that fall outside of the 4:3 image. The game isn't rendering the water that isn't visible in the image on the left. (12-30-2014, 09:11 AM)Armada Wrote:(12-30-2014, 05:11 AM)Jhonn Wrote: Thanks. I don't have a monitor, I use it mostly in my Sony BRAVIA TV and it support both Side-by-side and Top-and-bottom. My laptop isn't too powerful, so with different games I use different resolutions and IR combinations. Depending of the resolution, I need to "stretch" the image in TV settings and doing so the TV doesn't output 3D properly, but switching from Side-by-side to Top-and-bottom or vice-versa generally fixes that issue. I can confirm it's not related to Dolphin implementation since this same issue happens with other PC games/apps and even with Tridef 3D/nVidia 3D Vision. I also saw in Sony forums other users having the same issue with this particular TV models and it's veeery unlikely that Sony is going to fix it since it already ended support for that line (the TV is from late-2012 lineup). A hotkey to turn effect off/on or to switch to other modes would be very useful and easier than exiting fullscreen and going to graphics settings while the game is running (resetting the INI overrides the game may have)

Fixing these issues is the next step after all stereoscopy features are working and polished. However, since most of these issues are caused by the game not being designed for 3D it's difficult to work around them. However, for the shadows we may already have a solution, try adding these lines to the game INI: Code: [Video_Stereoscopy] That flag will cause the shadows from the left eye to be used for the right eye, while not completely correct yet it should already look better. In the future we may change this flag to render shadows from a monoscopic perspective, which is the correct method. I'm considering adding Interlaced 3D to allow for windowed 3D on such monitors, it could be achieved with a new custom stereoscopic shader support. I may also implement it as a separate stereoscopy mode later, since properly implementing the feature requires you to know the field (window) position which is not available to custom shaders. 01-17-2015, 12:46 PM
I gotta ask, Is there any way to save the current 3D settings when adjusting them in game with hotkeys? I always have to redo them every time I start the game again. Also for people that don't know, make sure your separation is set to 0 in the nvidia control panel or the image becomes offset when adjusting using dolphin.
