I have found that you cannot play netplay if you choose steering wheel as a controller for either player (between 2). However if I select standard controller for both players then netplay works fine.

I have limited knowledge on reading source code however I had a look at some files regarding netplay and noticed it never mentions Steering wheel anywhere while it mentions standard controller and certain other controllers

Can steering wheel be added into this so its a selectable controller for netplay? Otherwise it desyncs between both pcs almost immediately and I would love to get force feedback fully working over netplay

Isn't the steering wheel just a Wiimote? Wiimotes don't work with netplay currently; you need to use a GC controller.

No. The steering wheel has a gamecube controller end on it and plugs into the controller socket

Called the Logitech speedforce wheel and shows up as that in games. Has full force feedback in supported games

The Wii Wheel is just something you put a Wii Remote in, but this is about actual steering wheel controllers, not Wii Wheels.

Wii Remotes do work on netplay if you have a recent development version.

How are we defining "works" here?

Last I knew, I think mimimi re-enabled Wii remotes in it's broken state on netplay just to make users happy and put a fire under our butts to fix it, but not much has come after that.

Several fixes were submitted and merged after that. It's actually possible to get it to somewhat work without desyncs now, but I think you still have to do things like manually set extensions identically on all computers. Anyway, let's get back on topic. The question isn't related to Wii Remotes.

I sent a pm to skid who coded the steering wheel. He said it should basically work like a standard controller so thought it should work fine however he isn't familiar with the netplay code so thought issue may be there.

Just said to make sure settings are the same between both wheels (which they are).
