In the latest steam link beta it said it improved virtualhere support so I gave it another go. Wiimotes still not showing up in dolphin (latest build). It's really strange since windows does detect the mayflash controller drivers and the wiimote connects like usual to the mayflash dolphin bar. This week my wii u gamecube controller will arrive, I am curious if that will work with the steam link, I'll test it out
. Otherwise, I really recommend the steam link for streaming emulators to the big screen, retroarch and ppsspp work beautifully with easily navigatable user interfaces and dolphin also works but you'll need a mouse to select the game (and use xinput controller instead of wiimote).
