So the steam controller just went up for pre order here in the last hour or so...

I bought one the second the email came through that its available now. Unlike all the 360/PS3/PS4/XBONE controllers the steam controller has analog triggers with a tact switch that clicks when fully depressed. The only other controller I know of that has this feature is the GameCube controller. How excited are any of you guys about the prospects of emulating the GameCube triggers, especially for games like rogue squadron? I for one am quite stoked at the prospect and seeing as the C stick on the GameCube isn't really used much but for camera angles in most games and the haptic pads on the steam controller should work exceptionally well for that. Thoughts?

Well, yeah... But I can't get the official brand one for less than A billion so I was just drawing a parallel, besides, how nice it would be. Also thinking maybe the gyros and accelerometer in the steam controller could emulate Wii remote functions... So, finally you could play a Wii game and not have to deal with the crappy sensor bar stuff in a way that is mostly seamless. Right pad is the cursor but the shaking would translate pretty well. Really, I was just excited to get my Pre-Order in and thinking after, I was prolly just going to play dolphin with it 90% of the time ANYWAY. With the triggers and haptic pads the experience would be rather nice if set up properly...
