Hey folks,
Epic emulator, that goes without saying though..
I've just started trying to play Metroid Prime (which has been bringing me back to my childhood).
My laptop supports 3D/stereoscopy, so I've been playing in DirectX 9 mode with 3D Vision enabled and WOW, it's almost as if the game was made for stereoscopic game play (in 1080p). Go figure.
I'm using my girlfriend's Xbox 360 controller. For some reason, I was forced to tick the "background input" switch to use it. Fine, whatever. It started working perfectly after that (though Xbox 360 doesn't have the triggers that click, so that's a little annoying sometimes)
My main problem at the moment is the ability to save states.
The emulation crashes once in a while and forces me to rely on the in-game save, but with the crashing, that's nearly impossible. (And I get that it crashes... it's emulating a completely different system, totally understandable. Definitely not complaining about that.)
State saving's supposed to be Shift + the Function keys... They do nothing. It seems like it has something to do with me having to use "background input" for the controller. Like, another invisible window is above the game and the input isn't going through.
Might there be any switch that'd enable me to use the save state keys?
Thanks guys!!! ^_^ Hope I'm posting this in the right place (and if there's already an existing topic covering this, link me please! I couldn't find any.)
tl;dr: Playing Metroid Prime in stereoscopic (DX9), crashes sometimes. I can't use the save state hotkeys because the emulator seemingly isn't the active window.
