~Background~
Ok so me and my housemate are entering our second year of university which means we have to sort our work experience placement for next year out, we decided to go down the harder route and make our own business (which is allowed and supported by the uni).
So basically i'll be handling the system building, maintance/servicing, upgrading and software, while she'll be dealing with the website (better that way since she's the one on the design course) mainly and then learning how to build reliable systems by helping me.
~Intel & AMD~
NO FLAMING just advice!!!!
Now heres the problem i have absolutly no experience in AMD, i know that theres no real difference in constructing a system with an AMD core but i'd just like pointers on whats better about them. other than there alot cheaper than Intel.
I don't want to stick to just intel because then i cut off half the market which isn't a smart move really.
The only reason i'm asking this is the fact that i need facts for the website and some knowledge so i know which one to recommend (i understand specifications but i'd like to know some info from experience rather than a comparison, this isn't pc world afterall, i don't just read off the label), oh and which is easier to overclock?
~Overclocking~
I'm not sure on this, i know what i'm doing (afterall i do have a stable 3GHz Q6600, and i can up it to 3.6GHz stable if i want), but overclocking is rough on components so i don't want to be giving refunds because customers are idiots and don't keep the computer in a good enviroment causing it to overheat (where with a standard clock it would run fine but be very hot).
~Questions~
so lets recap, i want to know;
Hopefully this time next year i will have a workshop with 5 of my creations on display on the open day, which i think will help show off my company to be's skills (hell my system alone demonstrates the watercooling setups i can make and the overclocks, the Q6600 will be cranked up to 3.6GHz on the day to show off the cooling effects ).
Any help is appreciated, thanks

so lets recap, i want to know;
- Opinions on AMD
- Which is easier to overclock, AMD or Intel? (yes i know it depends on more than the make but just in general)
- Should i offer an overclocking service?
- Should i offer basic case resprays? (yeh forgot to mention, we'll be investing in air compressors for the servicing services, so maybe i should make more use out of them instead of just the airgun attachment)
- one more! do you think £40 is a reasonable cost for system building labour (£50 for watercooled system)?
