I'm having trouble setting up the Xbox 360 controller for the few GC and Wii games I have. Does anyone have a profile they use as a starting point that they customize from for the Wii or GC?

It's really easy, pretend your Xbox controller is a GC controller and map the buttons as they would normally be.
Asus Laptop: K53TA
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium, 64-Bit - SP1 CPU: AMD Llano A6-3400M, Quad-Core, 1.4GHz-2.6GHz (Overclocked) GPU: AMD Radeon HD6650M, 1GB GDDR3 (Catalyst 13.1) RAM: Samsung 4GB DDR3-1333 (07-30-2012, 09:04 AM)marchesi Wrote: I'm having trouble setting up the Xbox 360 controller for the few GC and Wii games I have. If you don't know how the original GC looks, google it and see a picture. Trust me, it'll help. To configure the emulated wiimote... It's not easy. It depends on the game you want to play. There are five ways to play (I don't know if I forgot some more...) 1. (Hardly possible) If the game requires both a nunchuk and many movements of the wiimote, only your controller won't be enough, as I think. I don't play such games on Dolphin. 2. (Possible) Also, some games require you hold only your wiimote horizontally. In that case, you'll need to create a second profile, different from the normal, just for these games. 3. (Possible) If a game requires only the wiimote vertically, but you use all movements, your controller is enough. You can use the same profile with case (1.). 4. (PERFECT!!!) If a Wii game lets you use the Classic, or the GC controller, it's like you reached Heaven! There's no easier way to enjoy the game, than setting gameplay to one of these 2 and play. Some wii games also support that, if one takes a look at the options. Important: If your controller supports rumble, I'd strongly recommend the GC pad, because, the Classic controller can't rumble. 5. (???) If you have Guitar Hero, DJ Hero, or etc, I don't know if you can do something to emulate the guitar, the drums, or the DJ equipment with your controller. I don't play these. I hope my post was of help. |
