I thought this too, but it seems if the texture in the game did not use transparency, then neither will the retexture. For example an entirely transparent Mario texture in Paper Mario will make him invisible, but try the same thing on a building and it turns black. A rexture for skies in Zelda 64 had a transparent row/column of pixels that overlapped another texture, but transparent areas were black in game.

Only difference is win7 64 vs win 10, which isnt as bad as it may seem since multiple users report success with either. And a few days ago I was exactly in your boat, esp with battle of hoth that was really screwing me over. Now? D3D11, External Res HD, Internal Res HD, no msaa, 16AF, HD textures, mostly 60fps, and decent but not perfect sound. How? Assuming you have newest (at the moment) dolphin 4.0-9330 Sound: Use DSP LLE Recompiler. Not perfect but decent Graphics: -Underclock your Dolphin CPU. I cannot stress this enough in Dolphin, not Bios. The game is going slow, so obviously you need a faster CPU? Right? Well I thought that too so in the Options/Configure/Advanced tab I was experimenting moving it to 150-400%. Why would I underclock my own machine thats dumb. Well apparently thats the solution. Every pc is different, i tried 25%, 50%, and 75%. 50% was best for me -Turn off VSYNC.Both in dolphin and catalyst if need be. Another huge one. I didnt know that if you are underclocking your cpu and vsync is on, it makes it really slow. -Check 'Store EFB Copies to Texture Only'. Bc everyone said so, dont see a huge difference but it may be there -Uncheck 'Fast Depth Calculation', same reason -Move Texture Cache slider to 'Fast', same reason. Thats it, everything else is default. Maybe OpenGL may be better, something to tinker further with.

Store EFB Copies to Texture Only checked is the faster option, actually.
Also, the Underclocking Feature of Dolphin doesn't underclock YOUR CPU but the emulated CPU of the Gamecube/Wii. Think of it as your CPU having a less tough console to emulate. That's why this helps with your FPS. Also, if you hate stutters, try Ishiiruka.

right right, i said dolphin not bios but i put dolphin in the bold now to clarify it.
but still, if the console isnt powerful, wouldnt having a more powerful pc make the console run better? Esp if we are now running at hd w/ aa?

If you crank up the console cpu you can fix some fps problems a game had on real hardware.
Example: Need for speed underground runs 30~60 fps depending on amount of traffic or other racers on screen. Overclocking dolphin to 300% on my system gives me full 60fps all the time. But I digress this type of talk belongs in the game forum not texture forums

It's been a while. Work commitments are abound. But I haven't stopped tweaking this pack whenever chance I get! I promise some cool updates relatively soon!
