Even though it is a stable version, I recommend you switch to the latest development build (and keep it up-to-date) for several reasons.
Firstly the development versions have improved performance, and also some new features and fixes.
Secondly, by running the latest development build you can help the developers of the emulator to improve Dolphin by providing bug reports.
Also, the development branch is stable enough for normal playing.
