SSBB NES Masterpieces won't work no matter what settings I use

I have been all over the internet for the past few days trying to figure this out. I've been on the official Dolphin wiki (https://wiki.dolphin-emu.org/index.php?title=Super_Smash_Bros._Brawl), I've been on various other forums, and I've messed around with all the settings myself. Oddly, there seems to be no discussion in these forums about this game at all.

Using the default settings, the masterpieces load, all the keys work, the music plays, but the screen is black. By using all the recommended settings listed in the wiki, I can get the game(s) to look like this:

(That's Kirby's Adventure, if you can't tell. I get the same visual garbage in all the other NES games.)
Now I know people can get these working, as I've seen videos. What in the name of sanity am I doing wrong?
(The SNES and N64 games seem to be working fine.)

That's totally weird, works for me when I used the recommended settings. Do you have Texture Cache set to Safe, and unchecked Store EFB to Texture Only?

Please try the latest development version. GameINIs were added for the Brawl VC games, so the required accuracy settings will automatically be enabled for anything that needs them.

Do you have AF/AA on? It looks like you have some texture filtering or something...

Aha! leolam had the solution. I guess I should check the updates more often...
Anyway, not only do the masterpieces now work on my default settings, but the entire game itself now loads faster.

Just for the reference, all 5.0-5293 did is add information about the Brawl VC games, so that the correct settings can be enabled (and override your global settings temporarily).
