SSBB Graphical Problems on for Linux with ATI

I am trying to run Super Smash Bros Brawl on my computer (Project M actually)
I have everything set up to do so, but when I go to launch the game, the screen begins to display what I would describe as a graphical hurricane.
A huge jumble of polygons of seemingly menu correct colors (attached some screen shots)
The incoming sounds are accurate, and how I can blindly navigate the menus.

I would love any suggestions to get the game up and running. I've been on a huge smash bros hype since smash 4 was announced.

I built my instance of dolphin by following this thread: http://www.reddit.com/r/SSBPM/comments/21t1h4/project_m_302_netplay_guide_for_linux/
but it seems I'm running version 4.0-648-dirty

My computer is a Linux build, running Ubuntu 14.04 x64
Processor is Intel i5 (Gen 1, Sandy Bridge I think)

my graphics card is an ATI Radeon HD 78xx
I am running the proprietary fglrx drivers version 14.20

here is my fglrxinfo
OpenGL vendor string: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc.
OpenGL renderer string: AMD Radeon HD 7800 Series
OpenGL version string: 4.4.12967 Compatibility Profile Context 14.20

And I've created a log dump from dolphin
http://pastebin.com/WLCMCWK4

Thanks for any suggestions

You need at least the 14.4 fglrx driver to fix that.
This is an issue that AMD has with pinned_memory/buffer_storage that was in Linux only and fixed in 14.4

I think he already is running 14.4 or higher. Fglrx version numbers are always a little bit behind the catalyst version.

Now that I look at it, I'm not sure how the naming convention of fglrx works, but I'm running the latest beta build of fglrx to date
On the website it is labelled as 14.6 Beta
when but the file I download is numbered 14.20, also noted in a couple other places.

Regardless whatever changes AMD has pushed out, I should have.

I have also built dolphin from the head branch, it is labelled version 4.0-720
but this produced little success.
Actually, it's worse, the screen doesn't even have the graphical glitches, but is just a black empty screen.
