Speed up Relative Input

So, I've been trying to find a nice way to play City Folk, and I like using a normal gamepad most, with the right stick controlling the pointer/IR. By default it's a major pain to use, but I found the option for relative input which is what I wanted to begin with- for using the stick to drag the pointer around the screen, not always come outwards from the center until I let go. However, when I tick the box to use it, the tracking for relative input is PAINFULLY slow- at a near-snail's pace, and I've been fiddling with all sorts of options, yet I can't seem to find out how to speed it up at all. Here's a screenshot of my configuration- is there some way to speed this up? It'd be perfect for what I want if so.

And it's not really related to the issue, but because I don't want to get my topic closed, here are my specs-

Currently the only sensible way to increase the relative input speed is to increase the Total Pitch/Yaw settings.
Note this will not speed up the "red dot" but it will increase the speed in game.

At some point I do plan on expanding "relative input" features to other areas in a more generic way with better configuration (including a speed setting).
The dialog is already crowded enough so I don't want to just toss more settings in the "Point" group.

That sucks, but I look forward to seeing expansions of it and appreciate the help!
