Hi

I have speed problem, even in the basic the basic game, Wii Sports

My configuration is:

i5-2500k, with 4G ram

Nvidia 9500 1G ram

I was told that, As long as i stay away from Texture filters, anti-alias and resolutions higher than 1600x900
it should be fine

But Wii Sports, run very very slow, it show 21 fps, at 800x600 resolution

Even at 640x480, I don't get 60fps

Ofer

Thanks for the replay

I thought that Wii games don't need a lot of graphics calculation, I have problem with Wii Sports, which is a simple game concering the graphics

I am using 800x600 resolution, which is low

Set the efb scale to 1x and the efb copy to texture instead of ram. Efb scale is what affects the internal resolution.

Indeed it was I who told you that. That's exactly my settings for wii sports. I get 80% speed most of the time, but that's because my CPU, if I set higher resolutions or enable those options (all GPU related) my fps would fall, but if I set 1600x900 I get the same 80% get with 640x480 (I did lots of setting combinations), so I guessed it was my CPU that was holding the speed down. I also monitored GPU and CPU clocks, it seemed the only logical answer. As you have a much better CPU than me, and, most important, a CPU that should run a game like wii sports fine, I figured this would work for you. Now Im honestly confused Tongue

It could be your GFX that's holding you back, but I seriously doubt it would make you get 20fps in Wii sports...

This helped Smile

I set the efb scale to 1x and the efb copy to texture instead of ram
and the resolution to 1600x900
and everything work fine
I get between 55 to 60 fps

Image qulety is not great, but I can play
If I will want to improve it, then I will need a better GPU

Thanks very much

Ofer

You could try EFB scale x2 and 1280x720 that might look better but it also might be slower.
Also when you used EFB copy to RAM did you enable cache? Doing so will give you a speed up but might cause some glitches.
