Dolphin seems to have many features more than it did 1000 revs ago. This is a good thing. Good work. But my personal opinion is that the devs should mainly focus on speed increases for the lower end computer for a while. Less code that does the same thing, I think, does the trick.
Or is it gradually getting faster with every release?

dolphin is currently working on compatibility more than speed. It sometimes gets fastter but sometimes it gets slower

there are allready some parts of the code that can be optimized, but not for all games.

examples :

- mario kart double dash needs EFB, but you can make it update slower then once a frame -> on my machine ~40% more performance 20-25fps to 35-40
But this will completly mess up other games that use EFB.

- SSBM can be run with some kind of "frameskip", meaning its allways full speed no matter what fps your GPU can manage.
But this requires the dualcore watchdog to be turned off and many other games wont even start.

there are other tweaks possible in other games, but they will create problems too, thats why all this is like it is in the code.

Maybe it would be usefull to have a thread with all those "tweaks" so everyone can try them with their favorite game.

but i dont know if the developers would like that Confused

they wouldn't like that because then it wouldn't be an emulator. An emulator tries to emulate a system properly without hax.

I used Dolphin bi weekly 3402 Build in 32 bit, I tested with Monster Hunter 3 tri~ Demo which run around 24 FPS over 30 FPS (mean not full speed). Thus from my Real Time CPU monitor it only used my 30% of my CPU but why not 50% ? (C2Q Q8300 2.5GHZ)
