Your CPU isn't good for Dolphin. Especially for demanding games. Metroid Prime games are demanding.
You won't be able to get constant full-speed in these games. Full-speed is needed to get correct sound. if you can't then the sound will be crappy

Thanks for the replies. Maybe its time to update my PC? Id rather just build a new system, but I feel like my system has lots of life left in it...with the exception of running dolphin that is. Can anyone recommend a new AMD processor that would work in my existing mobo?

Why not better start saving for the Intel 4670K? That one is currently the best CPU for Dolphin. There are other ones that are cheaper, and with almost no loose in performance (except demanding games): Pentium Haswell G3220, Core i3-4130/4330... And for laptops, the i7-4700/4900MQ are pretty good shots.
Rig 1: Windows 10 Home | AMD A6-1450 @ 600/1000/1400 MHz | AMD Radeon HD Graphics 8250 | 4GB RAM | HP Pavilion TouchSmart 11.

Rig 2: Windows 10 Pro | Intel Core i7-2640M @ 780/2800/3500 MHz | Intel HD 3000 Mobile | 8GB RAM | Dell Latitude 6320.

Good idea. I think that will be my project tonight. I'll be happy if I can get to 4.0Ghz.
