Can anyone give a link to the best unofficial build to use? I'm using a i7 3770 and nVidia 660ti.

Have you got a link?

I've changed what sound configuration I was using, but now the game is chugging hard. Sound included. A bit surprised; I know there are higher end setups than an i7 3770 and a 660ti but I expected performance than this Dodgy Any fixes for chugging? It's not just frame rates, its the sound too unusually.

I think I've got significant issues switching the audio codec from the default using the method listed on the previous page. I get a lot of chugging in most Wii games. Also, I was playing Mario Kart Wii, at decent frame rates, there seemed to be no issues, when all of a sudden the top quarter of the screen took on a greenish hue. I immediately exited because I thought some of the hardware was getting pushed to hard. Do you think any permanent damage was done? For some reason the CPU fan was pumping out pretty hot air, but my GPU was pretty cool. Surely the GPU should be handling graphics? Is it possible to put more of a load on the GPU tha CPU?

Most likely not. Your computer should shutdown before it reaches that point.

That's to be expected. Dolphin is reliant on the CPU for a good deal of its performance, like most emulators. The GPU does emulate the GC/Wii Flipper for graphics, yes, but your GPU is largely responsible for things like Internal Resolution and Anti-Aliasing performance (i.e. you can increase these without slowing down). The rest of Dolphin's performance generally comes from the CPU.

Probably not in any significant way. You can offload texture decoding by enabling OpenCL, but this option has consistently provided lower performance than letting the CPU handle it.

Now about your graphical issue (the greenish hue), this is a known problem. Have a look at the wiki: http://wiki.dolphin-emu.org/index.php?title=Mario_Kart_Wii#Blue_Box

Oh! I thought that was appearing because I was nuking my hardware haha. Well, good to know, thanks for putting my mind to rest! Big Grin

Still looking for a solution using the standard audio codec to fix the non-looping music tracks though, anyone know of one?
