I am that guessing this is for the Gamecube?
If so: Open up Dolphin, and on the menu bar at the top, go to Options, then Configure. You should see a tab that says "Gamecube" at the top.
Click it, and make sure that both Port 1 and Port 2 say "Standard Controller."

when i do that dolphin crashes lol.
