I'm not from US, so my opinion should be merely analytic and thus rather fair, still I find this Sopa I've been reading a lot about lately simply ridiculous. Even tough I don't like piracy and always say bad about it, something like this could give them power and eventually grounds to censor access to sites like YouTube. Not to mention it goes totally against all that democracy and freedom speech you Americans emphasize so much..

First of all - SOPA is a good cover for a draconian internet censorship. Someone posts a music file on site, bam, it's closed. Too easy.
Second, MAFIAA, Sony etc etc. have insanely high profits each month, and yet they target school kids and sue their parents for like 100k bucks and more. They don't know mathematics ? Plain and simple, album costs 10 bucks, a song - 70 cents, where the f..ck a a 300+ thousand dollars here. 400k people downloaded their crap? Bullshit. It's just a typical "know your place, worm!" attitude. And there's no such thing as real democracy now. If you have some money, you can bribe a cop. If you have a lot of money - you can bribe a senator, if you have billions - you can just buy almost a whole government or even force laws worldwide. We live in a cyberpunk world - large corporations rule the world through a marionette governments. BTW speaking of a "piracy" term, forced by paid journalists - i really want to put all those ***AA guys on a boat near the coast of Somalia, so they will know what real piracy is ![]() (12-28-2011, 02:22 PM)ShadowFlash Wrote: First of all - SOPA is a good cover for a draconian internet censorship.
