Your graphics card could be a problem if you set your internal resolution to something higher than what your card can handle. We don't know what model your card is, so we can't say if that is the source of your problems or not. At any rate, you should always provide the most accurate information possible when asking for help.

edit: Nevermind, I see you found out what your GPU is :p
