Hi all, I'm not sure if anyone else has had this issue before, but please help me out.

So I'm trying to play Sonic Unleashed, and the game runs smoothly until I try to load the 4th mission of Holoska (The one titled "Don't break anything on the way"). Upon trying to start the level, the game will inexplicably freeze, and hang there until I load a save state, or force quit the application. This has been tested in the newest revision of the emulator and the issue is still present. I've done some research on this before, and it seems that someone else has had similar situations before (https://bugs.dolphin-emu.org/issues/398, https://bugs.dolphin-emu.org/issues/1451) but those were a long time ago, and they have all been marked either fixed, or duplicate.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Load Sonic Unleashed in Dolphin
2. Select Holoska from the world map (Or play till that stage)
3. Select the 4th mission (The one titled "Don't break anything along the way")
4. Load the level

Any help would be appreciated!


EDIT: SOLVED - USE INTERPRETER, SAVE AND THEN LOAD STATE

Note: I just tried to play some other levels, and I think the levels with goal rings are unplayable? Or maybe it's only the ones featuring Modern Sonic, not the Werehog? I'm not sure, but if it's that case, I am unable to progress further in the game. Please help!

Quick note, I solved this by using the interpreter CPU core and switching to the JIT core. Anyways, I hope this helps other people who encounter this problem Smile

What processor, x64 or ARM? This sounds like a bug in one of the JIT instructions.

Sorry, I'm not sure what you mean. The CPU core I used was Interpreter64, but if you meant my Mac, here's my specs

Also, I would like to note that while using the Interpreter core, I encountered some kind of error when I reached the same point in loading where the game froze in JIT. Upon pressing ignore, the level successfully loaded. However, I dismissed it without reading it.
