I still remember playing these games at a friends house in the 90's at a party.

Boy did we have fun or what.
Excuse my language now, but F*** what I miss those times.
If I could re-live one single day from that time I would be the happiest guy in the world.

I would do anything to be a boy and living in the 90's again.
We had so much fun with the good old 2D games, WE KICKED ASS back then.
Younger kids today don't know a thing about games, good games.

All they want is games that is super realistic.

I want my childhood and the 90's back NOW!!!

Ah ah Big Grin I wish I could too. Emulation is a good way to revive this period without getting consoles out of the closet. Yeah it's nice to play an excellent 2D game between two 3D games Wink

Agreed and emulation is the most superior and best way to preserve all these good games and memories from the past.

Someday in the future when the real games and consoles is broken either from usage or just collecting dust in a closet and none is to be found for purchase anymore it's good to know that a peice of software is the ultimate savior.

Thank god for the good people developing emulators and thank god for the good people that creates backup modules for the consoles so you can dump all your beloved treasures.
Without you guys a whole legacy would be gone.

I agree with you Maverick, emulation is a great way to preserve all these classics.
It might just be that the only way to play the good old games in the future is by emulation.

Consoles and games don't last forever, since they're physical but backed up games and emulators have a greater chance of surviving.

Anyway, on topic: I got the game, works perfectly.
It looks gorgeous!
The only flaw is that there's some slowdowns at times. But that's the game's fault.

Can't argue there, the Sonic games have always looked gorgeous.
Sonic Generations is not an exception, from what I have seen it looks great.
I'm tempted getting it.

I beat the final boss today but I still have a ton of challenges to complete. I'm hoping there will be DLC to add more levels and boss challenges at some point.

Well... I can't find this for physical DVD purchase on my favourite Swedish webstore Webhallen.se for PC
Is this Steam related? Might just buy it straight from there.

Yeah, from a graphical standpoint they've been amazing. I'm glad they've taken the hint from the Sonic Fan Remix project.
Just look at Sonic 4, then look at Sonic Generations. Just gorgeous!

I've taken some screenshots from the game. Just the first level for now.
(not img'ing em or the page would get stretched and longer to load)

@ Damax
You're fast :O. I played the first 3 stages so far, just to see how the game was. Not sure what's ahead of me, but it has quite some potential for some nice DLC.

@ Gabriel
I don't think they will ship physically(yet).... so you'll have to get the Steam version.
