Sonic and the secret rings error msg

i get this error msg every time i try to start it up

What is your specifications? We need to know what CPU and GPU you have, if you have an Intel graphics accelerator you will need to use the DX9 plugin. Also be sure your hardware meets the minimum requirements which include a CPU that supports SSE2 and a graphics card that supports Shader Model 2.0 or better and OpenGL 2.1:
