I seem to be having problems with Sonic Adventure 2 with my computer. I can't even get past City Escape for Hero Story. I have put the Texture Cache Accuracy to the right most value like I'm supposed to, had dual core both on and off, but so far whenever it's time for the truck chase, the screen will stop rendering, yet the game will keep playing as if nothing happened. This is a very major issue as it renders the entire Hero Story unplayable.

Do you have a good dump of the game? You can verify this by posting the MD5 sum here. (Right-click on the game in Dolphin, go to Properties, and on the Info tab, compute MD5)
Secondly, what backend are you using, D3D or OpenGL? 02-19-2017, 03:19 AM

Unless of course the wiki is wrong or this is a bad dump somehow even though this is a dump I've used before. 02-19-2017, 04:08 AM
Your dump is indeed a good dump.
I used my computer with the latest dev build and was unable to reproduce the issue on 5.0-2558, did you try the latest dev build? Did you try deleting the Cache folder in Documents > Dolphin Emulator? 02-19-2017, 04:33 AM

I'll try updating the build to the lastest and try it again, but I using build 5.0-2538 when this was going on and again with the build just before it which I forget which one that exactly is. Not sure what deleting the cache folder is going to do, but I will try that as well. Update Edit: Tried using latest build; same settings, same exact problem: As soon as the gun truck tries to come on the screen, the screen capture will freeze on the frame when the truck is supposed to come on screen, but the game will continue to play regardless. 02-20-2017, 02:33 PM
Could you try stuff like fast-disc speed? This isn't a bug in Dolphin (it was investigated before...) but something on your computer doing something naughty. I can't remember if it was Intel HD cards, the microsoft fread problem (which would be avoided by using fast-disc speed,) or something else.

I thought the only standard workaround was compressing to GCZ. 02-21-2017, 06:57 AM

I'll have to try the fast-disc thing and see where that gets me. (02-21-2017, 12:49 AM)JosJuice Wrote: Are you sure the fread problem was avoided by using SUDTR?
