Ok, I downloaded the revision 6655 out of curiosity that it would play Final Fantasy IV The After Years. I was pleasantly surprised when it worked, and I began playing with the OpenGL plugin to support my graphics I had the settings tweaked to where it would run smooth but get no graphical errors. After about a week of playing I became curious to see if I could enter the wii menu somehow so that the emulator would be a full wii. I found out I had to get the nand (I think its called nand I cant remember the correct term) from my wii and put the files within the folder of the dolphin and it would work.

I did just that and I was able to boot up the wii menus, but for some reason after I did that the openGL plugin failed to work properly. When playing Final Fantasy The After Years (the only game I really desired to play via the emulator) The over world and battle screens are black, however bringing up the status screen or entering into battle the MENUS are visible perfectly. Yet the characters and EVERYTHING else are not. This was never an issue before and it came out of nowhere.

So I tried to trouble shoot I tried to install rev 6656.. Nothing

I tried to update my Nvidia drivers to the latest... Nothing

I tried getting rid of the nand by putting a new emulator into a completely separate folder and then reconfiguring EVERYTHING.. Nothing

I tried revision 6657... Nothing

I tried every possible openGL option seeing if anything would restore the black over world and character sprites... Nothing

I am at my wits end I really don't know what happened to it or why it just decided to stop working for no reason. When I start the game up it allows me to see the title and select my saves, but as soon as a game is loaded everything is black, save for the in game menus. I have tried the Direct3d9 plugin which does work, but to get the same graphics I had on OpenGL It causes a massive slowdown even with duel core enabled.

I know that

its not the nand I installed as it still allows me to see the game with other graphics plugins

its not my save as again the save works fine with all other graphic plugins other than OpenGL (However the game worked with OpenGL perfectly before, and even before updating the NVIDIA drivers as well.)

I just don't know what to do, so I thought Id post and see if anyone can help me. Thank you all in advance for reading my topic.

So it's an error with the new Direct X? Then why was it playing before, I never upgraded my Direct X? (or in this case downgraded)

Your using OpenGL, which isn't related to DirectX in any way.

If you're running Windows, use DirectX instead of OpenGL, because games generally run better, faster, smoother with DirectX than OpenGL

Some games require special configurations to run, try searching for your game there:

Coincidence does not exist.
We only believe it does, because we never know what happens beyond our visions and thoughts.
