I've had 4 Official Nintendo Wii remotes that I've used both with Dolphin and a real Wii U for a while. Up until recently I've had no issues with them, but about a week ago, two of them fully stopped syncing with BOTH Dolphin and the real Wii U. They would do the LED flash as if they were trying to sync, but neither pressing 1+2 nor the red button method would get them synced to either real hardware or Dolphin. I originally thought it was just an issue with batteries so I got new batteries for them, but even with fresh batteries they refused to connect. My second thought was that the bluetooth functions on those controllers in particular had just died, they were old controllers afterall, so I went to a local Vintage Stock and picked up three third party TTXtech Wii Remotes (they didn't have any official ones in stock and third party ones should work fine for my purposes). NONE of the new TTX remotes would sync, again with EITHER Dolphin or the real Wii U.
I am perplexed at what the problem could be. Right now I only have one Wii Remote that works with either system, and it works great! I'm just really confused at what the issue could be. I've browsed through a variety of threads here and on Reddit and on other miscelaneous forums for the real Wii U and nothing I've come across has worked. On the Wii U I de-registered all the connected controllers and, the one that works was able to sync again, the other 6 controllers were not. I don't think it's a problem with the console, it's gotta be something with the remotes themselves if they refuse to connect to Dolphin as well, but I have no clue what to do about it and I do not have the hardware skills to open up the Wii Remotes and check if everything is physically in-tact. If they were able to connect to Dolphin and not the Wii U or vice versa I'd at least have a place to start, but I have no information to go on here.
Has anyone come across this? Where both official and third-party Wii Remotes are completely incapable of syncing to either? And does anyone have any suggestions for potentially uncommon solutions that I wouldn't have stumbled across on previous forum posts, or might have just missed due to them being in relatively unknown threads?
