I am not exactly sure, but I'd check all revisions that made changes to the audio throttle and frame limiter. It has to be a commit within the last 100 - 200 revisions, it could likely be the revision that added audio/video syncing when using the OpenAL backend. I also noticed that another revision somewhat broke syncing of audio/video when using OpenAL. As of yet I haven't been able to find the revision(s) responsible for this.

in wich revision did you have fullspeed in huse of the dead overkill?, cause, im getting 20 fps to,
and mortal kombat deadly alliance in the new revisons crashes a lot, and the speed its very slow, but in revision 3865 i have fullspeed without crashes viewtiful joe, with frame limiter or audio throttle enabled, de speed is between 45/ 60 fps, but with them disabled i have more than 90 fps! 02-17-2010, 01:24 PM
Well House of the Dead Overkill has been slow from the time it started working, would just hang on a black screen in the past. But it's probably related to the same issue that Code Veronica suffers from which has been around the lat 100 - 300 revisions.
So are any developers looking into this, any confirmation from developers regarding this issue? 02-17-2010, 02:31 PM
Overkill runs full speed here, I doubt it suffers from this problem

could you throw your config and system specs? maybe my e8200 with stock speed need an oc

Yes overkill does run full speed now, however back when the game started working it was locked at 20 FPS so it seems the issue with this game was a completely different issue.
However RE:CVX is locked at 20 FPS when the audio throttle and/or frame limiter is enabled, some other games such as Destroy All Humans: Big Willy Unleashed are also locked at 20 FPS, haven't testes to see if that is related to the audio throttle/frame limiter yet. 02-26-2010, 03:01 AM
I was wondering if any developers have acknowledged this issue and are looking into it, any open issues regarding this on the tracker?
It would seem the audio throttle and frame limiter are somewhat broken and is crippling some games when these are enabled. So far I haven't been able to track down the exact revision that is at fault, my previous hunches were wrong and it turned out that revision wasn't responsible. I've also noticed Dolphin has become a bit slower overall over the past 200 - 500 revisions or perhaps 1000 revisions. Not sure if this is related to the broken audio throttle and frame limiter, but might be worth looking into. 02-26-2010, 04:16 AM
ok since im so nice to help i help lol
if you get to less frames like 20 fps 30 fps just set the frames to 120 fps it will atc like 60 fps i know sound strange but try it it really works 02-26-2010, 04:24 AM
I am aware of that, the whole problem is these games are locked at this frame rate so long as audio throttle and frame limit is enabled. This doesn't really have any effect on Resident Evil Code Veronica X and some other games that are suffering from this problem. I usually have to disable the frame limiter and audio throttle to get full speed or better, but games run way too fast then.
