Take note that this isn't an issue with my configuration and that I've already tried tweaking my configuration to no avail. This seems to be a core or graphics issue in Dolphin that started occurring in the later/latest revisions but I am not sure what revision is responsible.

There are some Wii and Gamecube games that now seem to be locked at 20FPS, that otherwise ran at full speed in the past.

Resident Evil Code Veronica X is now locked at 20 FPS, this game ran at full speed in the past but suffers from rendering issues.

There's a couple other games that suffer from the locked at 20 FPS syndrome, but weren't working before:

Destroy All Humans: Big Willy Unleashed.
House of the Dead: Overkill.

It would be great if there is anyone else who can confirm the same problem in the later/latest revisions, with games that used to run full speed and are now locked at 20 FPS. Hopefully we might be able to narrow it down so the developers can fix this bug/issue, but I need others to confirm this issue and give a general idea aroun what revision they noticed that this issue started occurring.

It seems only select games are affected, so if you have a game that ran at full speed or close to full speed in the past and now is locked at 20 FPS, be sure to report it in this thread.

No More Heroes 2 appears to be locked at 30fps on 4986. I get 60fps on 4771.

hm some resident evil titles have fullspeed at 20 or 25fps.
so if the speed is normal, then the game runs natively with this framerate.
RE Zero is one of them.

try to disable idle skipping or do framelimit via dsp.

Already tried everything and it doesn't make a difference, it's something in the core that tweaking settings doesn't seem to fix. I don't really remember when this started happening so it will be difficult to determine exactly what revision is at fault.

It's a problem with the audio throttle and frame limiter. With both these disabled, these games run at full speed, with either or both enabled it locks these games at 20 FPS.

Does anyone know the last revision that made changes to the audio throttle and/or frame limiter?

yeah, ive also noticed this strange fame limiting problem.
tested on a e8400 oced to 4ghz and a 9800gtx+,
and it's really the same as with a x3 720 3,3ghz and an onboard hd3200 (up till the resolution is too high and the card starts bottlenecking).

for example nsmb, framelimit to auto it runs "sloppy", a little better if you turn audio throttleing off, but if i set framelimit to off it runs way too fast (over 100 fps in-level).

and then theres some games where it makes no damn difference at all if i set frame limiting to off or auto, the vps go up to the thousands but fps still remain the same (sonic adventure)...strange

do the developers even know about this..?

btw: sorry my bad english, I'm german
