Some controls work, some controls don't

I'm having trouble getting the movement controls to work in Dolphin.

My gamepad is a Logitech F310

For example, in New Super Mario Bros Wii, no matter what I try to do, the forward and backward controls do not function. Instead I have to use "Up" for forward and "Down" for backward movements.

I have tried setting these movement controls with the main directional buttons and the two rotation directional buttons.

Sometimes when setting the controls, the inputs turn red in the configuration panel for "Up" and "Right". This isn't every time, though.

Meanwhile, Mario Kart Wii works perfectly.


Any ideas of what's going on here?

If you want the directions to be correct in New Super Mario Bros. Wii, enable the Sideways Wii Remote setting.

Thank you! This worked right away! I wasn't sure what the sideways and upright controls would do, but somehow this seems to make things work just fine. It makes sense now that I think about it
