is it possible for you to request hardware changes ?
if it is posible, get the 2nd choice, but ask for faster RAM, as for a certified PC12800 (1600MHz) dual channel kit. even 4GB kit at this speed is still better than that 8GB.
you'll rarely need mode than 4GB on daily usage, even for gaming.
unless you're plaing crysis2, dirt3, metro2033 at the same time Smile)
*believe me i've tried, 8GB is enough to run 3-4 AAA games at the same time, di doubt you'll ever want to do that

about OC, with 2500K at stock, you'll get full speed most games (can't say about the game i never tried) even with LLE.
  • Intel Core i5 2500K @ 4.2GHz
  • MSI N560GTX-Ti Hawk
  • Asrock P67 Extreme4
  • 2x2GB 1600MHz 7-9-7-24
  • 2x500GB WD Caviar Blue Raid0
  • Windows 7 64bit SP1
