I was actually about to just re-edit my post again, I must have missed your reply earlier, but with my 2.0.4 work around using checkinstall to replace the buggy SDL my linux distro has yet to replace -.-
Everything works perfectly, I can start and end emulation without crash and I can modify controller settings and netplay doesn't hang on startup. So yeah, everything is good with your build.
